So there’s been a lot of chatter off late about this project and I wanted to lay it all out there with these photos !!! When Shilpa @ Shilpa Reddy approached us about doing this early learning center, our first instinct on seeing this beautiful home nestled between all those trees was to theme it ‘In Nature’s Lap’.. And so formed from there an amazing journey with the able guidance of Mukta Khurana and the keen eyes of Samantha Akkineni and Shilpa! It’s been an honor working with you ladies!!!
The gender-neutral color palette of the pale yellow, pastel green and lavender is reflected everywhere in the space without being overbearing! Right from the gate and the outdoor activities in that area to the double height atrium that houses the 20 foot high library and the whimsical feel with our now famous giraffe and the birds and the clouds, the space bursts with the right balance of energy and calm !!
Every classroom has been customized to the children’s needs and every wall is padded for their protection! The stone walls, the distressed doors and the bamboo clads add to the natural touch and feel.. corners like the Stork swing bring the fun… and the vegetable garden and play area on the top floor show how conscious the team was in putting together every detail !!
I don’t feel it’s the right word to call it just a school because it’s so much more! As someone told me it feels like a ‘bubble of love’ !! My team that worked tirelessly and meticulously on this one.
