Cafe HEART CUP Coffee
The growth of this brand in Hyderabad has been quite extraordinary and to be given one of the largest spaces in Hyderabad to recreate their 4th outlet was quite the challenge.
The space was an old warehouse extended into a 40,000 square feet space with an indoor ground and mezzanine space and outdoor areas that overlooked the concrete jungle that is now the Hi-tech city in Hyderabad.
Heart cup coffee over the years had traces of a Rastafarian culture that always hit the right chord with the locals.

In terms of challenges with the large space, we had to soften out the view which was of all these IT buildings hence the Landscape outside that slowly moves indoors played a very big part in shaping the space. Since the bar was meant to be all about holding concerts and events, a large stage with a 17 feet high statue was envisioned to be the focal point of the indoor area. The undulated brick wall behind it brings a certain warmth and artistic influence to the space and relief to our sound consultant as well.
The murals all over were painstakingly done by the artist on acoustic panels which made it even more difficult but somehow he managed to bring Bob Marley and Amy wine house to life even so!
The colour blocked glasses on the elevation interspersed with bamboo panels bring the fun to the space and the 100 foot running creates a sort of island using this elevation as backdrop. The bar runs from the indoor to the outdoor. The outdoor area also has these cool suspended thatch roof seating that are always in demand!
The client brief was to take its already rustic origins and character and give it some finesse! We like to think we took it a step ahead of that and created a fun space with a rustic, yet polished feel!
